The Cumbrian village of Orton is conveniently located only a few miles from the M6 motorway yet in the heart of the Northern countryside, giving easy access to both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales.
Kendal is 11 miles South and Penrith is only 20 miles North. This is the Northern gateway to the Lake District - Ullswater is a mere 5 miles from this turning.
From the North - Turn off the Motorway at Junction 39 and follow the B6261 to Orton. Take a right at The George Inn and Orton Hall is approx 500 yards on the left.
From the South - Exit the M6 at Junction 39 and follow the B6260 signposted Orton. Orton Hall is approx 4 miles on the right hand side just before the main village
