Big White House
The Property: This detached house is located in the village of Greengill and is 5mins from the market town of Cockermouth. The house has good access to the northern Lake District areas like Lorton, Keswick and Buttermere.
The House can accommodate up to 18 people in 9 bedrooms and is an excellent venue for parties and social gatherings.
The house is on the fringe of the lake district national park and has excellent views over the Solway to Scotland.
The ground floor has a dinning room, quiet Lounge, pool table room, kitchen and utility drying room. Also on the ground floor there is access to en-suite bedrooms with 3 twin, 2 double and a bunkroom. There is also an extra shower room for busy times.
The first floor holds three bedrooms, two twin bedrooms 1 with en-suite toilet and one en-suite bunkroom.
On this floor there is two TV lounges (freeview) where you can also use the house computer, which has free internet access.
The house sits in an acre of private grounds where there is secure storage for bikes and canoes as well as plenty of parking. The grounds have a summer house, picnic tables and a BBQ for you to use.
Location and Local Facilities: Lying just outside the boundary of the Lake District National Park, Cockermouth is an attractive market town not overwhelmed by the tourist atmosphere of Keswick and Ambleside.
Cockermouth is near to some of the more peaceful lakes and mountains.
The Lake District National Park in the north-west of England is the largest English National Park. Its 2,292 square kilometres cover fells, dales, lakes and villages. The National Park also includes part of the West Coast, with beaches and tide pools.
