Newstead was the first Guest House in Windermere to be awarded the AA 5 Diamond Premier Collection rating. According to the AA Handbook this is the highest assessment for Guest Houses and awarded for outstanding levels of accommodation and service with an emphasis on quality, good facilities for guests and an exceptionally friendly atmosphere. Newstead also holds an RAC Five Diamond rating plus Special awards Sparkling Diamond and Warm Welcome.
Situated between Windermere Village and the Lake, in large grounds and gardens with secure private parking for all guests. Newstead is a unique blend of Victorian elegance with every modern comfort - beautiful original polished woodwork, antiques, original fireplaces and fittings. Immaculate bedrooms with high quality en-suites, colour TV. radio hairdryers, tea and coffee and new for 2003 Myers Staples pocket sprung beds throughout. All bedrooms are fully fitted with hand made pine furniture, co-ordinating decor by Dorma and modern designers such as Jeff Banks. Also available are superb Four Poster 'Master' rooms, which have additional lounge ateas with easy chairs or settees and coffee tables. Ideal for honeymoons and anniverseries, or just a special treat for your holiday. Lovely guests lounge and dining room with individual tables. In all a house that is sure to delight the most discerning guest.
