Set in the jaws of the Langstrath valley in the quiet unspoilt Lakeland village of Stonethwaite 'The Langstrath', a small family run Inn for walkers and lovers of the countryside, was built around 1590 as a miners cottage and has over the years been converted and extended to what it is today.
All of our 8 comfortable bedrooms are en-suite, boasting magnificent views of the surrounding Lakeland fells. We care about our food and drink and invite both residents and non residents to come and enjoy the atmosphere in front of a real log fire, with quality fresh, local Cumbrian produce all homemade with a traditional yet rustic/modern twist.
Our ales are all hand pulled with a wide selection of fine wines and extensive malt whiskies

Directions to The Langstrath Country Inn
Head to Keswick via the A66, follow the first turning into town and head towards the centre. When you reach the small roundabout, take a left turn and follow signs for Borrowdale. The Langstrath is approximately 7 miles along the Borrowdale valley, past the sights of Derwentwater, Cat Bells, Grange Bridge & Rosthwaite. After you have passed through the hamlet of Rosthwaite, turn left towards Stonethwaite and The Langstrath is at the end of the road
