Ashness House
Ashness House is a traditional Lakeland green slate town house with four bedrooms (one en-suite), two bathrooms, two lounges and a homely kitchen suitable for large families / parties of up to 8 people.
The house is situated in a quiet Conservation Area close to the town centre. Fitz Park is 200 yards away and Derwentwater is a short walk via the Churchyard footpath.
Heated by gas central heating Ashness House provides a 3 Star Visit England standard of accommodation for large families or groups of walkers.
The upper floors have views to Skiddaw, Catbells and the fells.
Outside there is a small walled garden fronting onto the Ratcliffe Place square and to the rear there is a shared yard with an outhouse for storing bicycles
Short bookings are available outside the season / school holidays
Living Rooms
The house has two living rooms on separate floors enabling guests to spread out and find their own space.
Ashness House is entered through a hallway with a boot store and an extensive library of guidebooks and maps.
Downstairs there is a dining room / kitchen with an electric oven and gas hob, washer / dryer, fridge / freezer, microwave and large farmhouse table.
This merges into a lounge area with sofa, armchairs, CD / DAB radio with IPhone / IPod Dock and widescreen freeview TV.
The upstairs lounge has 2 leather sofas, coffee table, a High Definition flat screen freeview TV, DVD player, and Free WiFi router.
This lounge has a view to Skiddaw and it’s a lovely room in which to unwind and relax. On the landing there is a bookcase full of reference books, novels and DVDs
Bedrooms
Bedroom 1 on the first floor is a double bedroom with King Size bed, wardrobe, bedside drawers and an en-suite (shower / wc)

Bedroom 3 on the second floor is a twin bedroom with wardrobe and bedside drawers
Also on the second floor there is a bathroom with shower over bath, WC and hand basin
Bedroom 4 is a spacious attic bedroom with twin beds, drawers, clothes rack and a 360 degree view over the Keswick rooftops to the fells.

Directions to Ashness House
Ashness House is convenientially located close to Keswick town centre.
From the M6 motorway take j40 (Penrith) and head West on the A66. After approximately 16 miles take the first turning into Keswick, follow the signs for the town centre, which takes you along PENRITH ROAD, and when you pass the park on your right and see the war memorial turn left then immediately left again into SOUTHEY STREET.
Take the fourth turning on your left which is CHURCH STREET. Ashness House is on the corner of Church Street & Ratcliffe Place (a small square).
