Stonegate Barn
Situated in the village of Pardshaw, near Loweswater, Stoneygate Barn is a traditional cottage ideal for couples and small families. You will find a warm welcome from Lynn & Andrew who provide a welcome pack filled with fresh bread, biscuits, coffee & tea.
Just 4 miles from the lively Georgian market town of Cockermouth, with its shops, supermarket, pubs and many restaurants, the barn makes a great base for a holiday, whatever the time of year. The nearest pub is The Old Posting House just one mile away at Deanscales. Other good pubs include The Royal Yew at Dean (2 miles) and the Kirkstile Inn at Loweswater (5 miles).
Loweswater, Buttermere and Ennerdale are all on the doorstep, putting the cottage in an ideal location for exploring the unspoilt mountains, lakes and valleys of the western Lake District.
With Whitehaven harbour and the beaches of the Solway Firth and St Bees 20-35 mins away, the Cumbrian coast is also within easy reach.
Inside the Barn, the sitting room is warm and comfortable with a woodburning stove, comfy sofas, Sky TV with DVD and video player, playstation, books & maps to borrow, board games and a CD player.
From the sitting room is the kitchen which is fully equipped with fan oven & hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washer-drier and plenty of storage space.
Stairs from the sitting room lead to two bedrooms - one double and one twin bedroom. There is also a bathroom which has an electric shower above the bath.
The decking area outside has garden furniture and views of the surrounding fells. There is parking for two cars by the house.

Leave the M6 motorway at Junction 40 (Penrith).
Follow the A66 to Cockermouth.
At the Cockermouth roundabout, turn left (past the Sheep & Wool Centre, signed Egremont)
Follow this road for a couple of miles. At Deanscales pass the Old Posting House pub on the right. Continue up the hill and round the corner and take the next left for Pardshaw.
Turn left to Pardshaw and go into the village.
Turn right at the bottom of the hill and after 100yds Stoneygate Barn is on the right hand side .There is parking for two cars.
