8. After 300 metres on the A596 ,turn right between a large tree & an electricity pole in the hedge signposted STONEHOUSE on the wall. [YOU WONT SEE THE SIGN IN THE DARK]
9. Go up the drive [really a farm type track with lots of potholes], pass in front of the house around the side of a shed & over a cattle grid and turn hard right into the yard avoiding running over the very black, very soft labrador who will probably be barking a welcome of her own.
10. If no one answers the yard door, shout or try walking around the front of the house to the back door.

From the West [Whitehavne/Workingtonn]
1. Take the A595 following signs towards Cockermouth. Turn right at the roundabout [3rd exit] onto the A66 at Bridgefoot before heading towards Cockermouth.

2. Follow the WORKINGTON/WEST CUMBRIA signs on the A595 through the CARLISLE suburbs & into the countryside.
3. Stay on the A595 for about 5 miles{from the city centre} to the first country roundabout near Thursby.
4. Take the second exit onto the A596 signposted WORKINGTON/ WIGTON ASPATRIA.
