A newly refurbished first floor flat, above the “Gift Emporium”, high class gift store, which was the former Old Sweet Shop of the village.
The flat is accessed over the stone steps to the side of the Gift Emporium by a stable door into the open plan living area comprising of kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. Living area with colour TV and electric “stove”. Romantic double bedroom and en-suite shower room.
The flat benefits from an abundance of cruick beams and a rural outlook from all rooms in particular, as the name suggests, to Hampsfell.
Cartmel is a most characterful village, steeped in history with the 12th century Priory, the famous Cartmel races and more recently noted for its renowned Cartmel Sticky Toffee pudding. The village is Cumbrians answer to the Cotswolds with a wealth of inns, cafes and gift shops and is almost completely pedestrianised. Enjoying a picturesque location with narrow winding streets, picturesque market square and a stream running through the village. An ideal base to view the South Lakes and Morecambe bay including Market Cross, Water Pump and Fish Slabs.
