The most romantic lake in the Lake District is host to Park Foot Holiday Park, located on the banks of Lake Ullswater, the park offers relaxed and friendly holiday accommodation comprising of static and touring caravans, lodges and cottages. The family run park caters for families and couples and provides for all your holiday entertainment without having to use your car. The facilities include a shop, lake access with boat launching direct from the park, two children’s playgrounds, tennis court, table tennis, pool tables, amusements, pony trekking to Barton Fell and mountain bike hire. During the summer season entertainment is laid on with children’s discos, live entertainment, licensed bar and beer garden, during the summer school holidays a children’s club is operated and there is a restaurant with take away service available. The close proximity of the Lake gives holidaymakers the opportunity to try a variety of watersports including sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, boat hire and fishing. Free lake access for residents or Park Foot and Blanton House.
For those who want to venture further a field, Pooley Bridge is only 1 mile away with a traditional village inn, cafe and shops. The surrounding area is home to numerous quaint Lakeland villages scattered along the shores of Lake Ullswater and Aira Force is a dramatic waterfall cascading into the lake below. Sharrow Bay Hotel is only a short drive away for the ultimate in dining and is renowned the world over or a trip over Kirkstone Pass brings you into Ambleside where there is an abundance of shops, pubs and restaurants. The historic market town of Penrith is within 5 miles and has numerous shops, a heated indoor swimming pool, golf course and driving range.
In all Park Foot Holiday Park is perfectly located to take advantage of the Lake District, tucked away from the hustle and bustle in a safe and friendly environment for the children but with bars, restaurants, sightseeing, fell walking, boat rides and much more on your doorstep.
These superior and spacious 3 bedroom lodges can be found nestled above the centre of the park and offer the same facilities as the 2 bedroom lodges with the addition of a further twin bedroom and an en-suite shower room to the master bedroom. The large terrace has garden furniture and magnificent views to Lake Ullswater and a barbeque available.
Blanton House was originally used as stables for the horses and coaches which visited the Sun Inn, opposite Blanton House and is ideally located in the centre of the popular village of Pooley Bridge just 400 meters from the shore of Lake Ullswater and within 1 mile of Park Foot Holiday Park. The stables have been converted to a high standard to provide 2 cottages, Stable Cottage being 2 bedroomed and Coach House having 3 bedrooms.
Situated at the northern tip of Lake Ullswater, Pooley Bridge is a traditional village with pub, shops, cafes and restaurants. Twenty minutes drive over Kirkstone Pass brings you to Ambleside and within a 10 minute drive of the motorway means the whole of Cumbria is easily accessible.
The cottages are heated by night storage heaters and comprise: Lounge with colour TV, DVD and CD player and dining furniture. Dining/kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge/freezer. Cloakroom with WC and hand basin. First floor: Bathroom with shower over bath, hand basin and WC. Stable Cottage has a double bedroom with bed settee and twin bedroom. Coach House has a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and two twin bedrooms.
Shared use of the large garden with patio, furniture and barbeque. Private parking for 2 cars per property. First £15 of electric included with the remainder by meter reading. All bed linen included and use of the nearby Park Foot Holiday park facilities.

Electric is charged at £15 per week and £10 per short break between 5 May and 29 September, all other times at £30 per week and £20 per short break, except for Parklands, Coach House and Stable Cottage, which includes £15 and the balance by meter reading. Cot and high chairs are available. Each property has ample private parking and plenty of space for a boat.
