Eden Ghyll has been converted from a wing of an eighteenth century farmhouse amidst meadow and woodland. Located in Ainstable ,one of a string of traditional sandstone villages above the River Eden, a designated otter haven with walks,wildlife and unique visitor attractions including historic houses and working water mill all close by.Ainstable is set in its own dale and has a pub serving real ales, there is also an indoor swimming pool and gym within walking distance.Armathwaite, only one mile away, has a railway station with frequent trains on the famous Carlisle to Settle line.
