.The Winchester in Keswick is a 6 bedroom family run establishment situated a few minutes walk from Keswick town centre. The property is an impressive Victorian residence close to the town parks, shops and galleries.
Accommodation at The Winchester is of a very high standard. All 6 bedrooms are spacious and bright and consist of 4 double bedrooms, one twin room and one family room. All bedrooms are en-suite and have colour tv and tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryers and alarm clocks.
The Winchester is centrally heated throughout. We also have a drying room.
Breakfasts are as important as the accommodation so we use only the best local ingredients. We serve both Cumbrian, Vegetarian and Continental breakfasts.
The North lakes boast some of the best walks in Britain. You can walk straight from the door and head for Skiddaw and Blencathra or you can stroll down to Derwentwater our nearest lake and take a launch to one of the many jetties towards Borrowdale.

Directions to The Winchester
The Winchester is located on Blencathra Street fiveminutes walk from the centre of Keswick.
From the A66 take the first turning into Keswick and drop down the hill to the T junction. Turn right onto Penrith Road and continue for approximately 1 mile. Follow the river and go past the Fire Station then take the 2nd turning on your left onto Wordsworth Street. Go 100 yards onto Blencathra Street. The Winchester is opposite you on the corner.
