The Award Winning Highfield Hotel & Restaurant is located in the beautiful town of Keswick in the English Lake District; the hotel was built in 1886 using local Borrowdale slate. Highfield has retained many of the original features for which the Victorians were famous ? balconies, turrets, bay windows, a veranda for your pre-dinner drinks and even a converted chapel. The house is beautifully proportioned, and is ideally situated overlooking Hope Park, with fantastic views of the lake ?Derwent Water? and the surrounding mountains, and only a few minutes walk from the town centre and the popular Theatre by the Lake. All rooms have been thoughtfully restored and refurbished to offer the highest quality hotel accommodation. There are 18 individually decorated comfortable en-suite bedrooms which include DVD and Colour TV, direct dial phones in all rooms.
The Award Winning Restaurant at Highfield has an International team of four chefs and is led by Head Chef Gus Cleghorn. The Highfield Restaurant has been awarded for culinary excellence Two RAC Blue Ribbon Dining awards and two coveted AA Rosettes; Highfield is the only restaurant in the town of Keswick to hold these awards. The menu changes daily and is imaginatively prepared using the best local produce with choices on all courses.

Directions to Highfield Hotel
From the M6 Motorway: Take the A66 West, signposted Keswick, for about 17 miles. As you approach Keswick, ignore the first signs from the A66 and go on to the second which is at a roundabout. Turn left at the roundabout and go to the end of the road, then left at the T-junction and right at the mini-roundabout, signposted 'Borrowdale'. Follow this road round to the left, you will see the Heads shortly on your right. For the car park, immediately after you turn into The Heads, turn right again behind the Hazeldene Hotel and keep going until you see the sign for Highfield car park.
