Braithwaite Farm is in the quiet village of Braithwaite near Keswick in the Lake District. Braithwaite Farm offers high quality bed and breakfast accommodation for visitors to the Northern Lakes. Jenny and Stephen Clark, who own the property, work nearby on the family farm.
Steven and Jenny pride themselves on offering a warm welcome to all guests at Braithwaite farm. Jenny will cater for any tastes and is happy to prepare meals for whatever your diet (eg. Full English Breakfast, Vegetarian or Continental). Also if you are either cycling on the Coast to Coast route or walking the fells she will prepare a packed lunch to suit your requirements. Should you need transport to or from any walks you are doing we are happy to help by arrangement.
The property enjoys some stunning views over Skiddaw, the Northern Fells, Newlands and Coledale and also overlooks the village playing fields and courts so is ideally situated for families.
The farm is built on the old Braithwaite to Keswick railway line, some of the relics of the old railway can still be found around the farm. During the summer months visitors are welcome to spend time in the garden and there is also a swing and a full size trampoline for all ages to enjoy.
Directions to Braithwaite Farm
Braithwaite village is two miles from Keswick and twelve miles from Cockermouth. Braithwaite Farm B&B is on the outskirts of the village near to the sports fields and tennis courts with spectacular views towards Skiddaw and the Northern fells.
From the M6 motorway: Take Junction 41 (Penrith) and head on the A66 towards Keswick and West Cumbria. Go past the first turning for Keswick and straight over the roundabout. After three miles you will see signs for Braithwaite village and Whinlatter. Go past the first turning into the village and continue for 200 yards where you will see the village hall, sports fields and tennis courts on your right.
Turn right immediately after the village hall (Braithwaite Institute), continue down the driveway for 100 yards then bear right towards a row of four houses. Braithwaite Farm B&B is the end property. There is private parking beside the house.
