The White House Experience

The White House Experience is a character property built in 1765 with parts of the original house probably dating back to the early 17th Century.Situated in a rural area with fine views of the countryside, away from the crowds yet within easy access of so many places of interest and scenic beauty.

The White House is centrally heated and double glazed throughout. Our comfortable guest T.V. lounge boasts a log fire in the cooler months, and offers a wide selection of books, music,games and information to help you plan your walks, tours and visits to places of interest.

The gardens which surround the house are attractive and well tended. We invite you to wander round and take advantage of our seating areas complete with tables, parasols and lawn games.

Directions to The White House Experience

From the M6 Motorway-:
If travelling from the South, leave at junction 39 ( Shap) and follow the A6 towards Penrith.

If travelling from the North, leave at Junction 40 ( Penrith) and follow the A6 in the direction of Shap (not Penrith)

From the A66-:
At the Kemplay roundabout Penrith take the signposted route to A6 Shap.
As you enter Clifton village our entrance is opposite the sign to The Clifton Hill Hotel.

By Rail-:
Collection can be arranged from Penrith station.
