We invite you to experience the year round luxury and warm welcome that Hillthwaite House has to offer.
Our beautiful country house was built in 1899 as the six-bedroomed retreat of a Victorian Gentleman. Nestling in almost three acres of natural secluded gardens, in the heart of the English Lake District at Bowness on Windermere, it enjoys a truly superb elevated location.
The Hotel was founded in 1971 and has already celebrated its Silver Jubilee under the same family ownership.
It has now been extended to thirty-one individually designed bedrooms.
The Hotel offers a host of facilities, all for the sole enjoyment of our own guests.
